During National Health Quality Week (October 18-24, 2020), we celebrate healthcare professionals who are dedicated to improving healthcare quality, patient outcomes and experience. One such example is the team at GoBroad Healthcare Group, a pioneer in leveraging innovation in both research and operations to advance services and treatments for blood cancer patients, both adults and children. Hillhouse supports GoBroad and has been a partner with its incredible team of doctors, nurses, and administrators since day one.
GoBroad specializes in complex cases, and patients visit from all over China and Asia. Tianyu Ma, a budding 8-year-old artist from Shanxi province in China, was brought to GoBroad with acute myeloid leukemia. Last year, he completed hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at GoBroad’s Beijing hospital. While undergoing treatment, Tianyu made his time an opportunity for creativity and fun as much as for healing. While Tianyu is now back at school and enjoying the company of his classmates, his artwork still decorates the offices of his fanclub, the many doctors and nurses at GoBroad who worked on his case.

As of October 2020, GoBroad Healthcare Group has conducted over 700 hematopoietic stem cell transplants, registered around 30 clinical trials of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy (CAR-T) and undertaken over 1,000 CAR-T treatments. The healthcare group has also published 8 academic papers in key hematology journals, including Blood and Leukemia.
During the pandemic, all GoBroad hospitals continued to operate. The team rapidly developed exacting, exhaustive procedures to protect its patients and worked around the clock to make sure patients received the critical care they needed in an extraordinary time. We are grateful for the dedication of the fantastic team at GoBroad and thank them for their commitment to their patients and to the advancement of life-saving science.
