Mark Lavelle talks about working with Hillhouse and how the relationship helped open doors for Magento in Asia. Mark served as Magento’s CEO, and is now Adobe’s SVP of commerce following Adobe’s acquisition of Magento.
Magento serves as the technology backbone for an array of commerce platforms, both for physical stores, as well as e-commerce sites. While the company was highly successful in the US, Mark says that the relationship with Hillhouse created opportunities throughout markets in Asia for the company to expand its horizons and its business ambitions.
